Film Festivals 2002

A great diversity of titles this year included David Lynch's 'Mulholland Drive' the fascinating 'Donnie Darko', unusual and very funny bio-pic '24 Hour Party People' and the haunting 'Kandahar'. Isabelle Huppert was rivetting as 'The Piano Teacher' alongside sharp-tongued 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' and Richard Linklater's rotoscope feature 'Waking Life'. Wes Anderson produced 'The Royal Tenenbaums', 'Life and Debt' investigated the effects of globalisation on Jamaica's economy, while back home, Rogernomics came under the lens in 'In a Land of Plenty'
