John Grisham
Born in Arkansas in 1955, best-selling author John Grisham practised criminal law and personal injury litigation for ten years before pursuing his writing full time. He was also an elected member of the House of Representatives from 1983 until 1990. Many of his crime/thriller novels involve corruption and have a kind of insider detail that has made them a hit with readers of the genre.
