On April 20th 1972, John Young and Charlie Duke set the lunar module Orion down in the Descartes region of the moon. Over the next three days the pair would examine the site and via an improvised television system bring the entire world along on their remarkable trip. NASA would run just one more lunar mission after Apollo 16, but this is lunar exploration such as you've never seen.
