A classic piece of Pink Floyd history is revisited 30 years later in this brand new Director's Cut. The band plan a trip to Pompeii to perform to an audience of "ghosts" in the 2000 year old amphitheatre. This session was skilfully recorded in the beautiful sun-splashed arena by day, and amidst the eerily-lit scene of volcanic destruction by night, and is a perfect transition from audio to video media. The set begins and ends with the massive composition "Echoes" from the album "Meddle" and also includes the following titles; "A Saucerful of Secrets", "Us and Them", and "One of These Days" to name but a few. "Live at Pompeii" contains the concert in its entirety, and footage of the recording of "Dark Side of the Moon", including material of the band talking in the studio.
