Still of the Night

Roy Scheider is Dr. Sam Rice, a psychiatrist who becomes fascinated with Brooke Reynolds (Meryl Streep), the lover of a murdered married man who was his patient. When he finds that her father died mysteriously and that she strongly resembles a woman who's been stalking him, Dr. Rice becomes even more obsessed by her. Believing she might be the murderer, and both fearing and desiring her, he's plagued by nightmares that he'll be her next victim in this bone-chilling mystery-thriller from Robert Benton ("Twilight").
