The In-Laws

With his daughter about to marry, Manhattan dentist Sheldon Kornpett (Alan Arkin) is getting in over his head. The groom's father Vince Ricardo (Peter Falk), who may/may not be CIA, has been in over his head so long he may have lost it totally. They're as different as night and day, and when they meet at their kids' wedding and get involved in Central American intrigue, the laughs begin. Wild comedy co-stars Richard Libertini, Nancy Dussault, Penny Peyser. Remade in 2003.
