The Cars That Ate Paris / The Plumber

A classic double feature from acclaimed director Peter Weir. "The Cars That Ate Paris" (1974) - Australian director Peter Weir's first feature is a delightful black comedy about a small Aussie town that makes its living solely on the visitors they ambush. Inspired, in part, by the driving conditions in Paris, France, Weir's gleefully murderous community will appeal to those with macabre taste. "The Plumber" (1978) - Jill Cowper (Judy Morris) is the wife of a University doctor (Robert Coleby). One morning there is an unexpected knock at the door and she opens it to reveal a man who says he's the plumber. So begins five days of mental torment that will change her life.
