Dead Kids

Aka "Strange Behavior". When corpses marked by strange stab wounds start appearing in a small Midwestern town, grisly murders are traced to experiments at the local university. Filmed in New Zealand, director Michael Laughlin originally conceived of this as Part One of an aborted "Strange Trilogy", of which Part Two is 1983's "Strange Invaders".
