Heartbreak Hotel

A teenager (Charlie Schlatter) in 1972 Ohio decides to cheer up his widowed Mom (Tuesday Weld) with the ultimate "get well" gift, a visit from a kidnapped Elvis Presley! (David Keith). Schlatter also urges the Vegas-style King to get back to his rock and roll roots. Lightweight comedy-adventure throws plausibility out the window but was given the go-ahead by the Presley estate and contains none of the legendary excesses that led to the king's death in 1977.
