Shadow Magic
Peking, 1902. Travelling English showman Jared Harris teams with photographer Xia Yu to bring the amazing new art form of motion pictures to remote villages and, eventually, the empress's palace in Beijing. Yu, meanwhile, is torn between marrying a wealthy widow to help his family or choosing the women he truly loves. Moving, lyrical drama co-written and directed by Ann Hu.
