Spontaneous Combustion
From Tobe Hooper, director of 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and 'Poltergeist', this surreal inferno thriller sees a couple become human guinea pigs for Project Samson, a top-secret experiment exposing them to massive amounts of atomic radiation. They appear to have survived without any side-effects until they spontaneously explode into a ball of flames moments after the birth of their child. The child (Brad Dourif) survives and seems to have few problems until decades later he starts suffering from chronic headaches, while his severe temper and rage cause people around him to spontaneously combust. The government are soon on the trail of this incendiary human firecracker but he proves very difficult to bring under control.
