Quatermass

Sir John Mills stars as the legendary 1950s hero Professor Quatermass in Nigel Kneale's science-fiction thriller, first shown on Thames Television in 1979. Writer Kneale transforms the original 50s alien monster sci-fi mood into a bleak allegorical tale of urban decay. As Britain struggles with the collapse of civilisation, a monstrous power in space threatens the youth of the world. Wherever crowds gather - particularly around stone circles in the English countryside - a blinding light reaches down to disintegrate everything. Can the redoubtable Quatermass halt a sinister alien force bent on "harvesting" humanity? This stunning 3 DVD release features all 4 episodes of the final gripping Quatermass adventure, as well as the feature film version "The Quatermass Conclusion".
