Dr Lucille
This Canadian-produced biopic tells the true story of Dr. Lucille Teasdale (Marina Orsini), one of Canada's first female surgeons. Along with her husband, Dr. Piero Corti (Massimo Orsini), Dr. Teasdale builds a hospital in Uganda in the 1950's in the middle of a civil war. She performed over 13,000 operations there before contracting AIDS during surgery in the 1980's.
