Jessica

Based on the novel 'Jessica' by Bryce Courtenay, this epic three-hour-plus period drama traces a woman's harsh, tumultuous life in the Australian bush. A sweeping saga of love, deceit and sacrifice set during the early years of the 20th century in the farmlands around Narrandera, a small frontier town in rural New South Wales, 'Jessica' stars Leeanna Walsman as a beautiful, spirited tomboy who rises up against the ruthless ambition of her mother. The fine cast also features Sam Neill in the role of the alcoholic English barrister Richard Runche, Jessica's one trusted ally in the town.
