Lenny Bruce: Without Tears

Lenny Bruce was as much a performance artist as comic - and his performances would continue even after he left the stage. Director Baker has fashioned the best documentary yet on this seminal artist, interspersing rare interviews with extended excerpts from his "concerts" and TV appearances, one of which is a very bizarre pilot for his own variety show! With comments from Paul Krasner, Mort Sahl, Kenneth Tynan, Nat Hentoff and, of course, Steve "I've just written another song" Allen.
