Don't Move

A surgeon recalls the crucial moments of his life as his own teenage daughter lies on the operating table, hovering between life and death in this tense Italian drama. Director Sergio Castellitto (who also co-stars) takes the viewer on an emotion-filled ride and brings a violently masculine perspective to the story. Penelope Cruz's de-glamourized performance as an ordinary Albanian girl who becomes the passion of the surgeon's life is bound to surprise and touch viewers as "Castellitto directs Cruz to the performance of her career" (San Francisco Chronicle). Castellito also wrote the script with his wife, actress/author Margaret Mazzantini, from her best-selling novel.
