Superstars of Horror - Boris Karloff: The Sorcerers / The Haunted Strangler / Corridors of Blood

Nicknamed "The Uncanny", Hollywood's most iconic boogeyman, BORIS KARLOFF menaced generations of horror fans between the 1930s and the 1960s. Alternating between monster and mad scientist, his gaunt features scared audiences witless with starring turns in over 170 films including FRANKENSTEIN, THE MUMMY, THE BLACK CAT and THE RAVEN. Three of Karloff's most macabre tales are presented here, including the finest horror movie of his twilight years- THE SORCERERS (1967) In this disturbing horror classic, Karloff possesses a device that enables him, through telepathy, to take control of a teenager and have him live out extreme acts of sex and violence. Directed by Michael Reeves ("Witchfinder General") and starring Susan George and Ian Ogilvy. THE HAUNTED STRANGLER: (1957) Creating an atmosphere of brooding horror and suspense, this "Karloff Classic" (Motion Picture Herald) chronicles the shocking case of The Haymarket Strangler, a "Jack the Ripper" style killer who transforms into a human beast when overcome by an inner compulsion to mutilate women. CORRIDORS OF BLOOD: (1958) In this gory and sadistic chiller, Karloff portrays a tormented surgeon who experiments on himself with a newly-discovered gas before he becomes addicted to it and makes a diabolical bargain with body snatchers. Genre favourite Christopher Lee co-stars as the evil graverobber – Resurrection Joe.
