Daddy-O

Dick Contino stars as Phil Sandifer, a part-time truck driver and singer who is almost run off road by a feisty buxom platinum blonde. They meet up again in a local bar and she challenges him to a midnight drag race through Griffith Park. Meanwhile, Phil's friend Sonny is forced off the road and dies a car crash. Phil is arrested for reckless driving and accused of killing Sonny, but he proves his innocence but has his driving license revoked. Unable to work, he meets up with the 'shady' Frank Wooster who offers him a job singing in his new nightclub. When Phil discovers that this job also includes drug running, he must fight to save his friends and ultimately himself.
