The Life Before This

Exploring concepts of fate and free will, this contemplative drama brings a handful of random people together during the 12 hours leading up to a bloody shooting spree. Their petty everyday problems and trivial decisions gain ironic resonance when at the end of the day some of them - in the wrong place at the wrong time - will be dead. Intelligent, eloquent and understated, 'The Life Before This' debuted at the 1999 Toronto Film Festival.
