Five outlaws, sentenced to hang, are recruited by a Confederate officer for what may be a suicide mission - a full pardon if they ride through hostile Indian territory to stop a Confederate traitor in a stagecoach full of southern gold. Roger Corman presciently conceived this story several years ahead of the eerily similar 'The Dirty Dozen'. Shot for $60, 000 in 8 days, Corman more than delivers here.
