In February 1974, the granddaughter of newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst was kidnapped at gunpoint from her apartment by militant political radicals calling themselves the Symbionese Liberation Army. Missing for more than two months she turned up on a security camera apparently taking part in a bank robbery! Blending previously unseen archive footage with exclusive new interviews this documentary seeks the elusive and incredible truth about the taking of Patty Hearst.
