King of Beggars

Stephen Chow is So, an acclaimed martial artist with a snooty attitude who can barely read. Thanks to a few shifty characters and his own laziness he and his father are forced to become beggars whereupon So sinks into melodramatic self-pity. While it may not have the frenetic pace of a 'Kung Fu Hustle' this chop socky comedy was a huge hit with fans on its release, scooping 'Best Film' at the HK Film Awards. Be sure to check out the 'sleeping Kung Fu'!
