Mud And Sand

Stan Laurel brilliantly lampoons Rudolf Valentino as Rhubarb Vaselino who lives in a small village, where he and his friend, Sapo, enter a bullfighting contest. Sapo dies, but Rhubarb kills three bulls and becomes a local hero. The scene where Stan is chased by a bull was for real and he was nearly killed just prior to pairing up with his well-known corpulent comedy partner, Oliver Hardy.
