Nightmare Alley

This noir classic tracks the rise and fall of con man/carnival worker Tyrone Power. Seducing side-show performer Joan Blondell to learn the secret of a mind-reading act she performed with alcoholic husband Ian Keith, Power leaves with fellow carnie Coleen Gray and sets himself up as a spiritualist in Chicago. The act brings them acclaim and wealth, but Power's greed leads to his ruination and harrowing comedown.
