Nathan Lane hams it up as Max Bialystock, a down-on-his-luck Broadway producer whose accountant Leo Bloom (Matthew Broderick who, with Lane, starred in the actual Broadway production) has just figured out they can make more money off a flop than a hit. Enter demented Nazi pigeon-fancier and wannabe writer Franz Liebkind (Will Ferrell) with the worst script of all time: 'Springtime for Hitler', and Uma Thurman as sexy, Swedish scretary, Ulla. Mel Brooks became the producer for this remake of his 1968 smash, he probably wasn't intending to make a flop, but somehow, the magic just isn't there this time round.
