Flight of the Albatross

Sarah comes to New Zealand from Germany to visit with her research scientist mother on a remote island, though her mother doesn't seem all that excited to see her. While there, she encounters an injured albatross and Mako, a young Maori boy who is coming home to his beautiful island to escape his downward-spiralling existence. Visually spectacular this haunting love story won best supporting actor at the New Zealand Film Awards for Pete Smith. Co-produced with Germany.
