The Mayor of Casterbridge
Based on the classic novel by Thomas Hardy. Ciaran Hinds stars as Michael Henchman, a 19th-century English merchant and well-respected townsman, who receives a life-altering shock when a drunken mistake he made two decades earlier comes back to haunt him. Now reformed and respectable, he is offered a chance at redemption when his wife reappears with her daughter. But the reunion's promise is soon tarnished by a web of jealousy, deceit and wounded pride. Co-stars Juliet Aubrey, Jodhi May and James Purefoy.
