Roseanne: Season 1

Based on the caustic stand-up of its soon-to-be star Roseanne Barr, this series was a welcome antidote to sugary contemporaries like 'Full House' and 'The Cosby Show'. Sarcastic matriarch, Roseanne and her lower middle class family deal with the gritty realities of 'Life and Stuff' - the working title of the show - with savage wit and humour. A stand-out cast and great writing made it one of the most popular shows on TV and garnered it many awards. Here are all 23 episodes of the first ground-breaking season - watch out for George Clooney as Roseanne's factory boss!
