Millennium Actress

As an old movie studio is torn down, documentary filmmaker Genya tracks down its brightest star, Chiyoko Fujiwara, now an aging recluse. Together with his long-suffering cameraman, Genya presses the actress for her story and as Chiyoko warms up to the idea they are soon drawn into her past, witnessing events that occured through the history of Japanese cinema.
