Mountain Patrol ( Kekexili )

Based on the true story of Beijing reporter, Ga Yu, who travelled to the remote mountain region of Kekexili on China's Tibetan border to cover a story about poaching of rare Tibetan antelopes and the patrols trying to prevent it. Following the cold-blooded murder of one of the patrollers Ga Yu goes into the mountains with Ritai whose pursuit of the poachers soon becomes a ferocious obsession. Shot on location under brutal conditions, with largely unprofessional actors this is an enormously powerful and deeply moving film that stunned festival audiences worldwide. Not to be missed.
