The Counterfeit Traitor
William Holden stars as Eric Erickson, a Swedish-American businessman blackmailed by British Intelligence into posing as a Nazi sympathizer while actually spying for Allied forces. When his lover and fellow spy Mariana (Lilli Palmer) is discovered and murdered in front of him, Erickson must control his anger and act like he knew nothing of her political betrayal in order to return to freedom. Also stars Lilli Palmer and Hugh Griffith.
