This crackerjack thriller was the basis for the 1990 Gene Hackman suspenser. Charles McGraw plays a tough detective trying to outsmart three vicious hoods while escorting a mobster's widow on a train headed for the West Coast, where she is set to give grand jury testimony. Marie Windsor and Jacqueline White also star.
