Red Lion

The always mesmerizing Toshiro Mifune plays an enthusiastic, if dim-witted imperial emissary, sent to break the good news about the fall of the shogunates to the peasants of his hometown. However undermining the local loyalists could be trickier than he thought in this classic samurai comedy that has it all, plot twists, high drama, vicious swordplay, and of course, lots of laughs.
