Clarence: Series 1

Ronnie Barker's final TV comedy series saw him playing the myopic removal man, Clarence. Set in 1937, Clarence spends most of his time trying to woo a ladies' maid, who has suggested, rather modernly, that they live together first. Barker came out of early retirement to write the show (under a pseudonym), setting it close to his own home in Oxfordshire.
