Aida - The Opera

This monumental 1997 production was recorded on the biggest open-air stage in Europe - the Roman Quarry in St Margarethen. Verdi's famous opera, commissioned by an Egyptian viceroy to celebrate the opening of the Suez Canal is a tragic tale of forbidden love. Conducted by Giorgio Crosky and starring Pauletta de Vaughn, Bruno Sebastian, Adriana Nicolai and Stagione d'Opera Italiana.
