This five-part documentary series relates the 350-year struggle between the white man and the American Indians, from Coronado's expedition to the Great Plains, to the Battle of Wounded Knee. Documenting the origins of the Native Americans' warrior ways: 'The Cavalry' follows a Great Plains expedition; 'The Indian Warrior and the Massacres' chronicles the conflicts' bloody histories; Red Cloud's War and the Battle for Little Big Horn are crucial to 'The Battle for the Northern Plains'; and the long war's final struggles are revealed in 'Battle for the Southern Plains and the Desert Southwest'.
