Nate and the Colonel

A sprawling, lavish western set in the disorganised wake of the Civil War as a Confederate Colonel sets off with his newly-freed slave, Nate, to avenge the murder of his wife at the hands of a Union Major. Nate (played by the excellent Ricco Ross) serves as narrator as they travel across the Great Plains and encounter a tribe of Chippewa Indians under constant attack from a rival tribe and renegade Yankee cavalry. Written and directed by Paul Winters who also stars as Colonel Loftin.
