The Cosby Show: Season 1
This popular NBC series depicted a close-knit and prosperous African-American family, the Huxtables, from New York City. Dr Heathcliff (Bill Cosby) and his attorney wife Clair (Phylicia Rashad), are a happily married, dual-profession couple with aspirations of raising their 5 children in an uplifting, positive environment. Rashad was in fact only ten years older than her eldest child on the show, Sondra, played by Sabrina Le Beauf who competed for the role against a young Whitney Houston. Based on Cosby's own experiences growing up, the show was a huge hit, regularly beating out 'Magnum PI', on the rival CBS network. This 4 disc box set contains all 24 episodes from season one.
