Hell ( L'Enfer )

Three sisters, Sophie (Emmanuelle Beart), Celine (Karin Viard) and Anne (Marie Gillain) have drifted apart since a traumatic childhood incident. Plunging into the misery of their current dysfunctional lives the cause of their pain slowly comes to the surface in this complex and emotionally-dense drama. Based on a concept by Krystof Kieslowski for a trilogy about Heaven, Hell and Purgatory (the first of which was put on film by Tom Tykwer), this film is carried on the shoulders of its brilliant cast and though it may require some patience and even dedication, it is an ultimately rewarding experience.
