Quintet

Robert Altman's vision of a post-apocalyptic 'ice city' where the remnants of mankind play a convoluted high stakes game with life and death on the table. Deliberately obscure and glacially-paced, the film was not received well on its initial release, though the design and cinematography are certainly worth a look. Paul Newman, Bibi Andersson and Nina Van Pallandt star in this stark and sombre glimpse of the future.
