Never Give Up
Believing he can leave his dangerous life in the special forces behind, Ajisawa (Ken Takakura) abandons his job as a soldier and adopts Yoriko (Hiroko Yakushimaru), the sole survivor of a brutal massacre, to raise as his own daughter. The amnesiac girl begins to have disturbing and prophetic visions, and as her memories return, so does the threat of violence, when they come up against town officials steeped in corruption. A classic Japanese action film with heart, like a modern-day samurai story.
