Silk Riders

Kiwi Gareth Morgan, his intrepid wife Jo and three motorcycle companions set off to retrace Marco Polo's legendary journey, overland from his home in Croatia to Xanadu in China. Traversing the 20,000 km Silk Road between Europe and the Far East is a perilous undertaking, but it sounded like just the challenge the Wellington economist and his team would, and did, relish.
