This thoroughly entertaining noir-ish revenge flick is packed with wry one-liners and pop-culture references ala 'Pulp Fiction', and boasts a similarly star-studded cast including Morgan Freeman and Ben Kingsley as rival mobsters, Bruce Willis as a notorious hitman, Stanley Tucci as a dogged detective, Lucy Liu as a perky neighbour and Josh Hartnett as the hapless protagonist who finds his bad day going from worse to complete doggy-doo. Uncredited cameos include Danny Aiello and Robert Forster. Clever, hardboiled fun.
