Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny
The self-proclaimed 'greatest band in the world' attempt to convince the rest of the world of their superstar status, embarking on a rock-musical odyssey to acquire the mythical 'Pick of Destiny'. JB (Jack Black) abandons his bible belt home, picks up slacker KG (Kyle Gass) and with a little help from Black Sabbath's Ronnie James Dio and Satan (played by Dave Grohl), they plan to assume their rightful title of Rock Gods. Funny for fans of the tenacious double act, for those unfamiliar with 'the D' some of the yuks might pass you by. Insider satire with a rockin' soundtrack and nifty cameos from Ben Stiller, Tim Robbins, Meat Loaf and John C Reilly as Sasquatch.
