The Minus Man
An odd and eerie suspenser directed by 'Blade Runner' scripter Hampton Fancher, with Owen Wilson playing against type as Vann Siegert, a cold-blooded serial killer who settles in a small Pacific Northwest town. He rents a room from troubled couple Mercedes Ruehl and Brian Cox, who help him get a job at the post office. But even while holding a job and dating workmate Janeane Garofalo, Vann can't resist his homicidal urges. With a cameo from Sheryl Crow, based on the novel by Lew McCreary and nominated for the Grand Jury Prize for Drama at Sundance.
