Murder Rooms: The Dark Beginnings of Sherlock Holmes

Inspired by the real-life relationship between Arthur Conan Doyle (Robin Laing) and his mentor, pioneering forensic pathologist, Dr Joseph Bell (Ian Richardson) this made-for-TV drama is set in Edinburgh in 1878. The pair become immersed in a hunt for a serial killer, a journey which reveals the underbelly of Victorian society and inspires Doyle to create one of the most memorable detectives of all time - Sherlock Holmes.
