The Pin-Up Girl

Betty Grable stars in this flag-waving musical comedy as Lorrie Jones, a military canteen worker during World War I, who dreams of fame entertaining the boys on the USO circuit. She's engaged to just about every serviceman she's ever met, and plenty of them have her (in actuality, very famous) photo, but she's headed for a boring desk job until a chance encounter with one of her favourite performers has her on the road to pin-up stardom. Saccharine sweet and designed to boost morale in WW2, Grable was in fact pregnant for most of the filming.
