Skins

A dire, though poignantly humourous, tale of two Native American brothers, living on one of the poorest reservations in the country. Rudy (Eric Schweig) is the local law enforcement officer, who has managed to avoid the all-too-common pitfalls of unemployemnt and alcoholism, but his brother Mogie (Graham Greene), an emotionally scarred war vet, is disconnected from his teenage son, and finds solace at the bottom of a bottle. Rudy begins to feel doing things by the book can only get him so far, and he explores some more radical methods to help his family and his community. Directed and written by Native American filmmaker, Chris Eyre, whose 'Smoke Signals' was an indie success story, and one of the first films to be made entirely with Native American talent.
