Dark Portals: The Chronicles of Vidocq

Based on the memoirs of famous 19th century French detective Francois-Eugene Vidocq, this fantasy mystery was the directorial debut of visual effects director, Pitof ('Delicatessen', 'City of Lost Children'). Highly anticipated as the first feature-length film shot enitrely digitally, this grandiose and frenetic effects-laden thriller stars Gerard Depardieu as the eponymous detective, who disappears while hunting a mystical killer known as the Alchemist.
