As Sam and Diane's relationship seesaws from fantastic to nightmare, the couple decide to enlist the help of relationship therapist, Dr Frasier Crane. Kelsey Grammar's uptight shrink would ultimately become Diane's love interest, and spin off into his own hugely popular sit-com. Carol Kane makes an appearance, as does a pre-Seinfeld Michael Richards.
